So I had a deploy yesterday, or rather I had a very small portion of a large deploy. This lead to my getting paid for almost 3 hours of reading comics (as I hit the comicbook shop before the deploy started). Every time I may have complained about my job in the past three or so years is now rendered null and void. |

Vanmic Retrebution
So on my way into work today I passed a car that had jumped the curb (probably cause people in KY have no idea how to handle the 2-3 inches of snow that had fallen) and twisted the front passenger side wheel at a significant angle. Needless to say I found this both hilarious and annoying due to the slight delay it caused me. Unfortunately for the doom-van karma got me back at lunch with a complete flat on the front passenger side, which compounded by me being dumb and lazy ate up a fair chunk of lunch and was put off till after work. Here dumb struck again with me forgetting to set the emergency break before swapping to the doughnut, thus bending my jack just enough to make it frustrating to use when the car rolled back once partially jacked up. TL;DR: Annoying car issues, I'm dumb and made worse. |

Wow, my last post was nothing more than a little anecdote that I found funny. But its generated more comments than anything I've posted in a long while. So this project that I posted about a while back has pretty much wrapped up. This is a source of relief as I get a break from frustration, but there is nothing else for me to work on yet so I got to spend much of Friday and pretty much all of today sitting on my ass and reading news. This gets boring really really fast. It sounds like I should at least get something (even if its really small) tomorrow so hopefully I won't get completely bored at work again. Is it a bad thing that I'm already sorta missing a crappy project cause it gave me something to do? Also I hate my insurance company. My coverage with them started on 01/01/08 but they just decided to mail out my card on friday (or so the rep I talked to today claims) despite me calling them repeatedly for it; as I would prefer to not pay for my insulins (I'm not a subordinate to some kind of evil overlord). |

I woke up today at a couple minutes after 5 and couldn't get back to sleep. Thus I decided to make a delicious breakfast of blueberry pancakes, eggs, toast, bacon, baked beans, milk, coffee, and harvey wallbanger to eat while reading and watching the sun come up. Unfortunately after I had prepared this delicious feast I realized that the book I've been reading lately is the Koran, and as my breakfast included both alcohol and flesh of swine I felt that might not be totally appropriate; thus I'm on LJ. |

Didn't end up going into work today. I pulled into the parking lot and went "its Sunday, what the hell am I doing?". Instead I'm going to sit here and drink. I need to find a cheaper hobby. |

I got bioshock yesterday, it is an amazing game. I would have beaten it in a sitting, but didn't know how close to the end I was (second sitting was under an hour). Its one of those games that isn't that short, but at the same time you are disappointed when its done (as you wish there was more). One thing that was done really nicely is that when you are on the final stretch and you know it the game doesn't draw it out. |
